Argentinian Tango at book-presentation Tip Marugg

Last Thursday 29 January Carel Kraayenhof played two tangos at the presentation of the book ‘Niemand is een eiland’ written by presenter/author Petra Possel (The life of Tip Marugg in conversations) and ‘De hemel is van korte duur’ (Heaven is of short duration) of the authors Aart G. Broek and Wim Rutgers (Tip Marugg, collected works).The presentation of these two books about the Antillian author Tip Marugg in the theatre-hall of the Amsterdam Public Library was very well attended. Under the visitors was the miinister-by-proxy of the Netherlands Antilles, Paul Comenecia.

The writer Tip Marugg (1923-2006) listened very much to the Argentinian tango during his life and even wrote one himself.These two splendid books have been published by De Bezige Bij.
