Carel Kraayenhof meets Sting by Joshua Bell

The broadcast by PBS ‘Joshua Bell with friends@the Lincoln Center’ was a big success. We are back after three exciting days in New York. The reactions on Carel’s performance after the PBS-broadcast were praising and several artists came to thank him for his contribution. Joshua Bell had invited several great American artists for this evening, among whom the very funny rock-musician Frankie Moreno, the magical trumpet player Chris Botti and the fantastic lady-singer Renee Flemming. Also present was the unique singer and musician Sting (www.sting.com). For Carel it was a great moment to meet his hero in such an intimate setting.

The hero of this evening was of course Joshua Bell. He did all the talking and played perfectly with all his guests in a 1½ hours lasting show. You should visit his website www.joshuabell.com.Unfortunately the PBS-broadcast cannot be received in Europe, but the show will be transmitted another two times coast to coast in the United States, so that millions of people can hear Carel, playing ‘Oblivion’ together with Joshua Bell and the pianist Jeremy Denk.Right now we are going to concentrate again on the second tour of ‘Compassion’ with Sexteto Canyengue and on the solo-performances of Carel with several symphonic orchestras, as the Noord Nederlands Orkest and the Orkest van het Oosten.
