Germany embraces Argentinian tangoconcerts
During the openingnight of the ‘Bremen Musikfest’, the big musicfestival that started on 22 August, our tangosextet pleasantly surprised the Bremen audience. This night in the beautiful center of Bremen performed 7 orchestras. All the orchestras, of which also Sexteto Canyengue, started their first concert at 19:30, the second one at 21:00 and the last one at 22:30. With tickets for this night one was entitled to attend three different concerts. Soon it appeared that Canyengue belonged to the favorite ensembles. All three concerts were completely sold out, so that over 2000 enthusiastic music-lovers enjoyed themselves.
These days the rehearsals continue with Canyengue and the Absolute Ensemble under the direction of Kristjan Järvi. The musicians of the Absolute Ensemble as well as those of Sexteto Canyengue experience it as a nice challenge to work together. They exchange much knowledge, they work hard and have a lot of fun.’Latin Night’ next Wednesday in ‘Die Glocke’ (Sold out!).Don’t forget to book tickets for ‘Compassion’. We will be in a.o. Raalte, Bergen op Zoom, Cuijk, Oldenzaal, Houten, Zoetermeer,Winterswijk, Deventer, Nijmegen, Hoofddorp, etc. See the agenda on our site.Premiere ‘Compassion’ 6 November in De Meervaart, Amsterdam, 020 4107777.
