News letter August

Dear friends and relations,

We hope everybody had a great summer. For us this summer brought lots of energy.

Carel is busy composing for the new theatre-show in 2014 – 2015, which will be booked by our new booking-office ‘Bureau Lommerde&Tonen’. At this very moment Mark Schoots (marketeer) is examining  the subsidy-, sponsoring- and crowd-funding possibilities for this new show.

Without these three elements it will be very difficult to release a new show and a CD.

Thirza is very happy  that she found reinforcement for the office and during concerts. Since 10 July Juli Golin came to strengthen the team. Juli already worked for us in 2008 and 2009 via the office of Sylvia Snel, PR3.

We are also very happy that Jaap Branderhorst recovered completely of the kidney-donation for his brother Kees. Both suffered of no complications at all and they are working fulltime again.

After the premiere on 30 April of Carel’s 20 minutes lasting composition ‘Suite Compasion’ with the Residentie Orchestra, it also can be listened to on Sunday 25 August in Thorn during the Grachtenfestival (Canalfestival) Thorn. There Carel will give a concert with the ‘Saint Petersburg Chamber Orchestra’ under the direction of conductor Joost Smeets in the Abdij Kerk (Abbey Church) at 16:00.

Carel’s composition ‘Bamestra’ was arranged last summer by Sylvia Maessen on behalf of the concerts with the Dutch Symphony Orchestra on 2 and 3 October in Enschede and Deventer.

Next to this composition Carel will play during these concerts the ‘Hommage a Liege’ (concert for bandoneon, guitar and strings) by Astor Piazzolla with Izhar Elias on guitar.
