Festival ‘the accordion’ hosted by Carel Kraayenhof

On February 4th, 2012 Carel Kraayenhof will be the musical host of  the Festival ‘ The Accordion’ in the Theatre of Deventer. Carel Kraayenhof, bandoneon player, composer and arranger, is the most fascinating and versatile bandoneonist of our time. During the festival he acts as host and programmer and he plays with some of his favorite artists. Hot Griselda overwhelms with steaming tracks and folk echoes of Irish, Flemish and Breton music. John Kirkpatrick shows us that his roots lie in folk dance music. Juan Pablo Dobal now, after tango and fado,  embraces Carel as a duo. Other performances are by Luciano Biondini, Maarten van der Grinten, Ellen Zijm, Bram van Weverberg, and Kwintetto NJAO. Compose your own program.
