STOP CLOSURE of the Tropentheater in Amsterdam

Kahlil Gibran (1863-1931) was an artist,  poet and writer from Lebanon. He has written beautiful poems, compiled in to ‘the Prophet’. In the Profet two people ask about “the benefit of a few things in life”. Among their questions: what is the use of artists? Kahlil Gibran answered …. and so are singers and dancers and flute players come, buy of their gifts also. For they also collect fruit and incense, and what they bring, even if it’s formed from dreams, clothes and food for your soul …..
Out of the blue, our government in The Hague has decided to discontinue funding for the beautiful Tropentheater in Amsterdam. Please, show your support on www.tropentheater.nl or www.kit.nl
