Tango Cuatro can pride itself on occupying a special place in the tango world.
Years of experience and performances in many countries have contributed to this position. The foundation of this international ensemble was laid in 1983, on Dutch soil. Since then it has developed itself into one of the most prominent interpreters of the tango in Europe.
Due to the interpretation, unique for the tango, Tango Cuatro is able to Present a wide range of tango styles… and the tango knows many.
Its history, which covers a period of over a hundred years, has seen many outlandish paths. Musical influences from all over the world as well as political pressure have left their marks on this “lamentation of the Argentinian slums”.
With its honest and poignant interpretation of the tango, Tango Cuatro has seduced a large, international group of enthousiasts. This recording will undoubtedly attract many others.
